Die neuen Reedereiallianzen THE Alliance und Ocean Alliance haben Details ihrer geplanten Dienste bekannt gegeben, die jeweils im April 2017 starten sollen. THE Alliance, zu der die Carrier Hapag-Lloyd, K-Line, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Nippon Yusen Kaisha und Yang Ming gehören, wird 240 Schiffe in 31 Diensten einsetzen. Die Ocean Alliance der Reedereien Cosco Container Lines, CMA CGM, Evergreen und OOCL ist mit 350 Schiffen in 41 Diensten unterwegs.
